Typically, between four and six dogs spend their day with me and no more than five sleep over. One of the reasons I enjoy caring for dogs is getting to know them as individuals with unique personalities and developing a bond with each dog.. Too many dogs at a time would take the joy out of it.
WHAT SHOTS ARE REQUIRED?
Rabies vaccination is required by law. DHPP is recommended by most vets. Please bring proof of up-to-date vaccinations.
WHAT ABOUT FLEA TREATMENT?
For their own health and comfort and mine, your dog must be on an effective, year-round flea prevention program. In my experience, oral treatments are most effective in our beach environment.
WHAT WILL YOU DO IF MY DOG GETS INJURED OR SICK?
In an emergency, I will take your dog to the nearest vet and then make every attempt to contact you. If non-emergency care is needed, I will consult with you first and then take your dog to the nearest vet. The Marina Bay Cities VCA and the Animal Wellness Center are the two closest facilities. Shane Vet offers all night emergency care and is not much further away.
Our boarding insurance through PetCare Insurance is complimentary to you and provides $1000 toward veterinarian care for your dog if they become ill or injured while in my care. There is a $250 deductible and preexisting conditions are not covered.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING FROM HOME?
Please bring your dog's food, a collar with name tag & your phone number, bedding, and harness if you have one. I have plenty of bowls, toys, balls, and extra harnesses. Don't bring favorite toys because I can't guarantee what condition they will be in when returned, Please label items if practical.
We recommend that your dog be wearing an ID tag with contact information when you drop them off.
